GoDaddy Auctions Recently Sold Domain Names

Domain sales are the bread and butter of the domaining industry and the more data for buyers and sellers to see is a good thing. I recently spotted a page on GoDaddy Auctions where they list recent domain name sales in the last 30 days from their auctions and it’s located here. I have no idea if this is a new feature or if it has been around for a while but it’s new to me. As with all domain sales data, there are some interesting things to look at.
23 Day Old, Hand Registered Domain Name TabletsForSale.com Sells For $1,200 At Domainfest Live Auction

Here is another example that there are still plenty of opportunities to make money with newly hand registered domain names. The domain name TabletsForSale.com was listed in the Moniker Low & No Reserve auction at Domainfest with a reserve range of $1K- $2,500, and ended up selling for $1,200. The domain name is only 23 days old being hand registered on January 03, 2010. Talk about huge ROI, the owner turned $10 into $1,200 in under a month by paying attention to current trends, new products coming out (Apple is supposedly releasing a new tablet style computer today) and knowing what types of domains buyers are interested in purchasing. Congrats to both the buyer and seller.
$1.17 Domain Name At GoDaddy With Coupon Code BOWL2010

GoDaddy is offering new domain name or domain transfer for $1.17 after ICANN fee with coupon code BOWL2010. The code appears to work with .com, .net, .org extensions and possibly others. Payment via credit card or by check and to be used only once per GoDaddy account.
Latona’s Las Vegas Extended Auction Runs Today Through Feb 4th, 2010

Latona’s extended online domain auction following the TRAFFIC conference in Las Vegas starts today at 9:00am EST and runs through Feb 4th, 2010 1:00pm EST. After the snafu during the live auction last Friday this auction will be run on the Proxibid platform instead of Latona’s auction platform. There are over 600 domains in the auction inventory and includes domains that did not sell during the live auction.
